Who We Are

Our Story

Stride Physical Therapy and Wellness was established in 2023 with a strong commitment to addressing the unique needs of our clients. We take a holistic approach to physical therapy, providing personalized and direct 1:1 care. It became clear to us that the existing system did not align with our vision of delivering the highest quality treatment to our clients. This realization prompted us to identify a market gap and develop a comprehensive solution that prioritizes individualized care.

At Stride PT and Wellness, our philosophy revolves around the well-being of our clients. We believe in empowering individuals to regain control over their lives and achieve their goals. We are dedicated to serving the Delaware and Ocean City Beaches community, as well as the surrounding towns. Conveniently located in Millville, DE, we are just a short drive away from Bethany Beach, Ocean City, Lewes, and Rehoboth.

Our range of services includes state-of-the-art technology, such as the Helix 3D running gait analysis machine. This cutting-edge equipment allows us to offer a systematic approach to care, assessing an individual's movement patterns to help improve performance optimization, injury healing, and injury prevention.

Nicki Evans

As the owner of Stride Physical Therapy and Wellness and a proud native of the Delmarva peninsula, my journey in the field of physical therapy began in Berlin, MD. It was there that I grew up and played soccer at Stephen Decatur High School, fueling my passion for the sport. Continuing my athletic pursuits, I went on to play soccer at Middle Tennessee State University and Francis Marion, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Biology. This solidified my dedication to the field of physical therapy and sparked my desire to further my knowledge and skills.

In pursuit of this, I obtained a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of the Pacific in California in 2009. This educational milestone not only equipped me with the necessary expertise, but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the power of movement as medicine. Over the past decade, I have been wholeheartedly committed to my profession as an outpatient physical therapist.

Throughout my career, I have witnessed the transformative impact that a hands-on approach combined with active movement can have on the lives of my patients. By striving to restore function and improve their quality of life, I have seen firsthand the profound difference physical therapy can make.

Outside of my professional life, I am happily married to my husband since 2011. Together, we have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, and I am grateful to be involved in the lives of my two stepsons. During my personal time, I indulge in my passion for running and embrace the great outdoors. Whether it's enjoying the beach, relaxing by the pool, or exploring new destinations, I find solace and joy in the company of friends and my love for travel.
